CHALLENGE

BleacherReport.com, an online source for edgy sports news and opinion founded in San Francisco, CA, came to Prolific leadership with a hefty challenge: move the small brand from the 13th-most visited sports website in the country to the top 5. To do so, Bleacher Report needed to overtake media giants such as Yahoo Sports, Sports Illustrated, and CBS Sports.

SOLUTION

Bleacher Report sought to strategically enhance sales process, sales materials, and how they packaged advertising. Prolific developed strategies for acquiring new advertising partners, and revamped sales and marketing materials for Bleacher Report to use while pitching prospects.

RESULTS

  • Bleacher Report’s Team Stream mobile app became the most highly reviewed and downloaded sports app on the market.
  • Jumped from 13th to 2nd-most visited sports website in the world, behind only ESPN.com
  • Bleacher Report had many interested suitors and was ultimately acquired by Turner Sports for over $200 million.
